Hi I’m Sherman Truss President & Owner and I started in the marine business back in 1983 as a marine technician at 2 dealerships and in 1997 decided it was time to go on my own so in the spring of 1998 was the start of what would become Sherm’s Marine Inc. I have always been very aggressive on staying up on tech training for Mercury Outboards and Mercruiser Sterndrives. After years of being a Certified Technician for both Mercury lines in 2005 I accomplished the most prestigious award Mercury Marine offers an outboard technician the Mercury Master Technician Award. So today and many years later I’ve still maintained a Master Outboard and Certified Mercruiser technician certifications along with my employees that add several more years’ experience to the dealership. Speaking of the dealership Sherm’s Marine is the highest qualified Mercury Service Center there is as a Mercury Premier Service dealership. To round out the complete services offered to our customers we’re a Mercury Outboard Stocking Dealer from 2.5 HP portables up to 250 ProXS or 350+ HP Verado’s to get you back on the water with a new Repower or complete new rig we’re also Authorized MotorGuide and MinnKota Service Centers.
Sales were added in 2002 as a Mercury Outboard dealer along with Bass Cat Boats. Bass Cat Boats are a premier bass boat line that started in 1973 and I have been personally associated with them since the early 90’s. By 2005 we were privileged to become the 5th largest BCB dealer in the nation. We’ve been very fortunate to be able to be in the elite group of dealers awarded the top 10 dealers award nearly every year since and most years we’ve been in the top 5 thanks to our loyal customers.
We also offer Smoker Craft Boats & Sun Chaser Pontoons with over 250 years of boat building experience.
In 2012 Yar-Craft Boats (sister to BCB built in the same plant in Mountain Home, AR) were added for the ultimate multi species fiberglass fishing machines. We were fortunate to be the first and only dealer to date in the nation to be a top 5 dealer in sales for both BCB & Yar-Craft for the 2016 Model Year.
